Get the Clean Car Discount
The NZ Government’s Clean Car Discount gives rebates for low carbon emitting vehicles registered after 30 June 2023. The rebate value is based on the vehicle’s CO2 emissions – the lower the emissions the bigger the rebate, up to $7,015 for new electric vehicles (EVs).
Rebates apply for vehicles with an emissions rating of 100g (3p-WLTP) or below and include internal combustion engine (ICE) electric vehicles (EVs) mild hybrids (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). It applies only to new and used vehicles registered in NZ for the first time and with a purchase price under $80,000 (including GST and on-road costs)."
