The Polestar 2 is our latest EV available for lease! Check out Matt's review on how the Polestar fits into his busy day from work meetings to school drop off.
First Impressions
The exterior is really easy on the eye, and modern without looking gimmicky. The interior is high-quality and minimalist, you can see its Scandinavian roots. It’s a vegan interior – which to be honest I had no idea was a thing!
The controls and systems are simple and effective – I had my head around it in minutes. The drive is fantastic, super smooth and sticks to the road like glue.
How would it fit into my home and work life?
A key consideration was how it would fit into my life – home and work!
First up was a customer meeting over a coffee, the main topic of conversation was the Polestar and how to get EVs in the fleet – so that was a tick!
Next up was running between internal meetings around town. The Google operating system helped with this, and I loved the option for the maps to be on the main dashboard. I drew the short straw and had to do the family Pak’nSave run – plenty of room in the boot!
Does it pass the school drop-off test?
Most importantly was the school drop-off. I operate a rating system for cars called the “Drop off Anxiety Scale” – basically where do my kids start stressing out about where they want to jump out?. The less cool the car, the further away from school it is.
It’s safe to say the Polestar was a hit, it made it to the front gate.
