FleetPartners EV Showcase Tauranga highlights

There was a buzz in the air as we recently hosted our fourth EV Showcase event at Farmer Autovillage in Mount Maunganui. The event provided the opportunity for our customers and industry experts to come together and explore the exciting world of electric vehicles, with a backdrop of cutting-edge EVs on display, insightful presentations, and real-life fleet transition examples.

The Future on Wheels: The Vehicles

Our EV showcase had an impressive line-up of electric vehicles that ranged from sleek compact EVs to robust SUVs, with even the latest BYD Seal on display, the only one of its kind in NZ at the time. Attendees had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest models from NZ’s leading manufacturers.

The Knowledge: Expert industry insights

Our showcase wasn't just about the vehicles; it was a platform for knowledge exchange. Dean Sheed, Drive Electric Board member spoke about the progress New Zealand is making in electrification and the government incentives to reach the countries emissions target.

Dean also touched on the impact electric vehicles have on not only the automotive sector but also the broader ecosystem of energy, urban planning, and environmental conservation.

Dennis Kelly, Director at FleetPartners presented our 5 Steps to a Carbon Zero fleet and highlighted how to approach each step in the journey and how they can all be worked on simultaneously during a business’s fleet transition. This was followed by some real-life customer examples showcasing how we measure current fleet emissions and help businesses transition to a more sustainable fleet.

Charging Ahead: The Tech and Infrastructure

One of the highlights of the event was the in-depth panel discussion with our charging partners (ChargeNet, Evnex, Thundergrid and JetCharge). Our industry experts discussed everything drivers and fleet managers need to know about the ever-evolving world of EV charging, from home-based solutions to rapid charging networks. Attendees gained a deeper understanding of the convenience and feasibility of charging EVs, dispelling common myths and concerns. The growing network of charging stations across New Zealand showcased the commitment to make charging accessible to all.

Charging Forward: A Sustainable Future

As the EV Showcase came to a close, the underlying message was clear: the shift toward electric fleets is not a distant dream, but a reality that's transforming the way we drive, live, and envision transportation. The event served as a reminder that each step taken in the direction of sustainable vehicles contributes to a cleaner planet and a brighter future for generations to come.
