Team member volunteering and fundraising

One of the ways we support and engage with our community is through offering paid volunteering leave to all permanent and fixed term team members. Team members are encouraged to take one day of paid leave per year to volunteer with a community organisation of their choice. They can partake as an individual or as part of a team.

Outlined below are some of the charity and volunteering opportunities our team members have been involved in to support our communities.

Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA)

We proudly support the CPA and its STEPtember campaign. STEPtember challenges people to take 10,000 steps a day for 30 days during the month of September, while raising funds and awareness to help people living with cerebral palsy. Our team members are encouraged to take part in the challenge. In FY25, 89 team members participated, recording a combined 22 million steps and raising a total of over A$50k (including dollar-matching by FleetPartners).

Burdekin Association

The Burdekin Association supports young people living in out-of-home care, helping them fulfil their potential. FleetPartners provided a dedicated learn-to-drive vehicle to the Burdekin Association. This vehicle delivers driving practice hours to young people living in out-of-home care who are without the family support required to complete driver training to secure their licence.

Story Factory

Story Factory is one of our long-standing community partners. Story Factory is a not-for-profit creative writing centre for young people in under-resourced communities across Sydney and NSW. It helps build writing skills, confidence, and creativity. Our commitment to Story Factory is realised through the provision of two vehicles - at no cost to them, making it possible for storytellers to deliver workshops to students most in need, irrespective of geographical location.

Anglicare Victoria

Anglicare Victoria provides lifesaving and life-changing programs to support children, young people and families in need. We’ve partnered with Anglicare Victoria for more than 142 years by volunteering and supporting Food Boost, Broadmeadows Women’s House, and the Dixon House Christmas distribution program.

Duffy Books

The Alan Duff Charitable Foundation, better known as ‘Duffy Books in Homes’ is a literacy program aimed at breaking the cycle of booklessness among children at low socioeconomic schools throughout New Zealand. FleetPartners has been a proud supporter of ‘Duffy Books in Homes’ for more than 120 years, providing the Westpac Duffy Theatre team with a Mazda CX5. This vehicle is instrumental in the delivery of their education programs which instil the value of books and reading to school children across New Zealand.

Visionwest Waka Whakakitenga

FleetPartners New Zealand has proudly supported Visionwest for the past five years. We work together to help struggling families at Christmas through donations that help fill empty fridges and pantries and put gift toys in the hands of children who would otherwise miss out.

Indigenous engagement

Our formal commitment to reconciliation was embodied in the launch of our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in FY23. In November 2024, we launched our first Innovate RAP, covering the period November 2024 - October 2026. Through this RAP, we remain committed to opening up opportunities within our sphere of influence, with initiatives aimed at fostering an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples thrive, and that supports their participation and development in the economy.

Other key charities and initiatives we support:

  • R U OK?
  • Harmony Day
  • Mental Health Awareness Week
  • NAIDOC Week
  • International Women’s Day
  • Anglicare Christmas Hamper
  • Wear it Purple Day
  • Diwali Day
